A Long Time Coming

I suppose I have told other people enough times already that I was planning on creating a music blog of some sort. Here it finally is.

What you will find here is mostly music obscured by the sands of time in need of rediscovery. I am not clairvoyant, so there is no way of knowing what others have posted on any other of the many music blogs that proliferate the internet. If I post what is already readily available, then I apologize. In the attempt to offer something unique, I shall try to focus on post punk from Japan, something most have viewed as little more than a footnote in the history of subversive music. However, most everything else punk and goth related is also fair game.

If you are an artist whose music I've posted and you wish for it to be taken down, then message me and I will be happy to oblige. The blog title is taken from an EP by a band called Leningrad. I personally rip everything I post. Music should be in 192-256 kbps. My scanner is not big enough to accomodate the 12"x12" artwork of most LP sleeves. Thank you for your time and attention, dear reader.

Hi there!

I just discovered your blog (via Phoenix Hairpins) and must say that it is absolutely amazing! I'm completely blown away by the stuff you've posted; GARA, BARDO THODOL etc. ...just WOW!

Can't wait to see what you've got in store for the future!

PS. If you're still interested, I've uploaded SADIE SADS "Box with Little Doll" onto my blog, HABIT OF SEX. You can find it here:

Take care!

Thank you for the kudos, Sebastian/nattliga_toner! And thank you for the Sadie Sads! While I am looking out for the vinyl, I shall enjoy the mp3s in the meantime. :)

I also have the Sadie Sads "Angora" 12" that I can rip, plus the Madame Edwarda LP and some other items I've noticed in your wish list.

I added a link to your blog from mine. Cheers!

Hello again.

Thanks for the link, that's very kind of you and much appreciated!

I trust you won't be disappointed with "Box with Little Doll"'s quite an amazing record. If you would like to rip the "Angora" 12" I (and most probably many with me) would be eternally grateful! Easily one of my favorite songs.

Speaking of "Angora", somebody uploaded a live clip of it (taken from the "Foo Fool"-video) onto YouTube just last week. Perhaps you've already seen it, but if you haven't you can check it out here:
